To ensure the highest level of care, while still providing the most affordable spay/neuter options in the Valley, Altered Tails will be adjusting our prices, effective April 1st, 2022.

If you made an appointment for an owned animal before March 11th, 2022, but the appointment date is after March 31st, the services will be charged at the previous 2021 rates.

If you made an appointment for an owned animal after March 11th, 2022, and the appointment date is after March 31st, the services will be charged at the 2022 rates.

If you have a TNR appointment scheduled after March 31st, the services will be charged at the 2022 rates, regardless of the date the appointment was booked.
Small Dog Spay (3-50lbs) | This includes the complete vet exam, sedation, anesthesia, surgery, and 3 days of post-op pain medication. | $120.00 |
Large Dog Spay (51-100 lbs) | This includes the complete vet exam, sedation, anesthesia, surgery, and 3 days of post-op pain medication. | $150.00 |

Pre-surgical blood work (required for all pets 5y and older) | We require bloodwork for all patients between the ages of 5-8 years old. Due to potential risks, we are unable to accept patients 9 years and older. | $45.00 |
Rabies Vaccine (dog and cat) | Can be given at 12 weeks of age. Revaccinate in 1 year, then every 3 years thereafter. | $20.00 |
FVRCP Vacine (cat) | (Feline Distemper or 3-in-1). Kittens should get vaccine every 3-4 weeks from 2.5 to 4 months. Cats over 4 months need 2 doses 3-4 weeks apart. Revaccinate in 1 year, then every 3 years. | $20.00 |
DA2PP Vaccine (Dog) | (Distemper-Parvo or 4-in-1): Puppies should get vaccine every 3-4 weeks from 2.5 to 4 months. Dogs over 4 months need 2 doses 3-4 weeks apart. Revaccinate in 1 year, then every 3 years. | $20.00 |
FeLV Vaccine (cat) | Feline Leukemia vaccine. The cat must be tested before vaccinating. Can be given as early as 8 weeks then a booster in 3-4 weeks. Vaccinate annually. | $20.00 |
Bordatella Vaccine (dog) | The "Kennel Cough" vaccine. It Can be vaccinated as early as 8 weeks of age. Repeat annually or more often for at-risk dogs. | $20.00 |
FIV/FeLV Test (cat) | Tests for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodefienciency Virus. Will indicate whether or not the cat is harboring one or both of the viruses. Recommended after 6 months. | $45.00 |
4Dx Test (dog) | This is a blood test that checks for four common diseases in dogs: Heartworm, plus three tick-borne diseases. | $45.00 |
Microchip (Dog or cat) | The best way to reunite with your pet! We wish our pets could tell people they were lost, but these microchips are the next best thing! | $30.00 |
Ear mite treatment (cat only) | Ear mites are tiny (as in microscopic) parasites that live in and on the ears of cats. This can be done if mites are suspected by our medical team. | $30.00 |
Deworming | This deworming is a broad spectrum drug for dogs than cats. | $15.00 |
Flea & Tick Preventative | A topical flea and tick preventative for dogs and cats, lasting one month. | $20.00 |
Nail Trim | These are very easy for us to do while the dog/cat is under anesthesia. | $10.00 |
E-collar (cone collar) | We know our pets don't always enjoy looking like martini glasses, but it is the best way to prevent them from licking their incisions! | $15.00 - $25.00 |
Dog Package | Includes: Microchip, Rabies, DA2PP (for Distemper and Parvo), and Bordetella | $80.00 |
